The International PhD Program in Industrial and Information Engineering — leading to a double degree with INP Grenoble and INSA Rennes — aims to train highly qualified PhD graduates in the fields of Industrial and Information Engineering.

The program offers the following curricula:

• new management paradigms and manufacturing technologies for competitive, low-environmental-impact companies;

The PhD Program in Energy and Environmental Engineering Science aims to develop interdisciplinary methodological expertise in the fields of energy production and management, with particular focus on sustainability and environmental protection.

The main areas of reference are:

• sustainability of products and processes;
• safety of processes, structures and the environment.

Research and training activities in these areas are developed within the fields of chemical and energy technologies.

The topics addressed are highly current and of significant industrial and environmental interest. The PhD program serves as a centre for initiatives with local, national and international relevance, and includes numerous collaborations with companies and institutions, which often fund dedicated scholarships. The PhD Program in Civil and Environmental Engineering and Architecture aims to train young researchers and professionals with advanced technical and scientific expertise in the fields of civil engineering, environmental engineering and architecture.

In particular, the program explores core topics such as hydraulics and road infrastructure; techniques for processing, modelling and analysing geometric and physical data; the study of territorial systems; and the structural, construction and technological analysis of buildings and infrastructure, with particular attention to seismic issues.

It also addresses the relationship between design and construction within an integrated and sustainable approach to the building process, as well as safety and emergency management.
